Horror / noun / illusion of the mind: An intense feeling of fear, shock or disgust
Fear / noun / illusion or intuition in the mind: An emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.
Fear in Humans may occur in response to certain stimulus occurring in the present, and/or in anticipation of a future threat. The fear response arises from the perception of danger leading to confrontation with or escape from the threat (also known as the fight or flight response), which in extreme cases of fear, causes freeze response or paralysis…even death.
Using a little ingenuity and a bit a Brain Science we have created a simulator that engages the part of the Brain associated with Fear, the Amygdata. With sounds and effects designed to scare you, buds / Headphones are a MUST. Playing without them will not trigger any Brain effect, or will do so at reduced capacity.
Translation: The simulator is first person and similar to being in a horror movie, if you mute or muffle the sound it loses most of its effect, resulting in a loss of what the primary experience was intended to be.
